Our programme of training educators, teachers and facilitators to a higher standard of professional practice will foster better classroom practices, and begin to deliver a universal design. The methodology of teachers as leaders program (TALP) forms the basis for teaching inclusive education. We have designed it to especially support teachers who work with students with disabilities or special needs to ensure they receive the same level of access to the general education curriculum as any other student. This will ultimately give them the same opportunity for academic, social, and emotional success

Our Teachers as leaders program (TALP) code of practice will provide training that enables teachers to:

Recognise the school’s role in serving the community and are committed to the right of pupils with an inclusive education model
See themselves as leaders and a source of advice, mediation and collaborative problem-solving for all pupils and their peers
Respect confidentiality while taking account of recognized child protection guidelines and a duty of care to all pupils and staff must be shown at all times
Create and effectively use resources that are deployed in an equitable and beneficial manner to address the learning needs and outcomes of all pupils
Understand how to best use the professional skills of their peers and how to deploy them for the maximum benefit of pupils whilst consulting with a range of other professionals for advice and collaborative problem solving as required
How to effectively monitor the impact and outcomes of their lessons when measuring their effectiveness
